Class assignment: home video

This was also done using my "still" camera. The clip was taken in natural light in a Japanese restaurant on the lower East Side.

I've done a couple of other little videos for my vlog--one done with a regular digital video camera and yet another done with the still camera. The digital video camera certainly produces better quality videos but is not as convenient to carry around as my still camera. In these two other videos, I experimented with doing a sound track with Garage Band (my next job certainly won't be scoring soundtracks for movies) and with different ways of compressing the videos to show up best on the vlog. I couldn't get my iMovie to allow the expert settings Richard gave us in class, and after several experiments, I found that the default "web" settings produced the best video...
